Clear Aligners

Removable Clear Appliances take a modern approach to straightening teeth, using a custom-made series of aligners created for you and only you. These aligner trays are made of smooth, comfortable and virtually invisible plastic that you simply wear over your teeth. Wearing the aligners will graudally and gently shift your teeth into place, based on the exact movement your dentist or orthodontis plans out for you. Simply pop in a new set of aligners approximately every two weeks, until your treatment is completely.

Headgear

The headgear's purpose is to correct anteroposterior discrepancies, by slowing the upper jaw's growth and allowing the mandible to "catch up".  The headgear attaches to the braces via metal hooks or a facebow. Straps or a head cap anchor the headgear to the back of the head or neck. In some situations, both are used. Elastic bands are used to apply pressure to the bow or hooks.  Headgear can also be used to create more space for permanent teeth to erupt into.

Retention Appliances

Orthodontic retainers are custom-made devices, made usually of wires and acrylic, that hold teeth in position as a method of retaining tooth alignment. They are most often used after orthodontic treatment hold teeth in position while allowing the surrounding gums and bone to stabilize and mature.

Bionator

Bionators initially look like a combination of upper and lower Hawley retainers, but they do not fasten to the teeth and are not used for post-brace removal treatment. Bionators are retained in the mouth within the space that the teeth surround when biting. They are used to expand the palate and create space for incoming teeth.
